City on a Hill was a series of Christian unity meetings held in Topeka, Kansas, on Thursday, September 30, through Saturday morning, October 2, 2010.
Two into One-- 7 pm Thursday, September 30
The gathering began with a sacred assembly and call to consecration and unity based on Ezekiel 37:15-28. We joined two sticks into one symbolizing the diversity and unity of the Topeka Church.
24/7 Praise & Prayer—Thursday night till Saturday morning
Following the sacred assembly, we worshiped and prayed around the clock overlooking the city as watchmen on the wall. Many churches and worship teams from our region took turns leading.
City on a Hill Citywide Gathering—7 am Saturday, October 2
We celebrated the fulfillment of Jesus’ prayer for unity (John 17) as we worshiped together at sunrise as the light of the world. We lifted up the cross of Jesus for He has said that if He is lifted up, He will draw the lost to Himself. We prayed for the city from the summit.
